Made it through the storm yesterday unscathed (except for a few scratches from a nervous kitty who did not appreciate the tornado sirens), but a lot of people didn’t. At last check, the death toll in Arkansas was 14, most of them in Faulkner County, which is where Mayflower and Vilonia are.
Both towns have been through a lot in the past few years, so can use all the positivity they can get. Emergency crews are still working, though, so wait for the all-clear before heading out to help. If you can’t help physically, donations of food, water, clothing, money and other items will, I’m sure, be welcome. The Red Cross and Salvation Army are, of course, taking contributions to help those affected.
Stay strong, guys.

Glad to hear you’re okay. I’ve been worried.
Poor Mayflower. As if that burst pipeline last year weren’t enough …

Thanks! Any time I escape tornado damage, it’s a good day. Having been through probably 30 or more of these growing up, I think that’s more than enough. One of our editors did have some damage, but hopefully it wasn”t too bad. Vilonia and Mayflower, though, break my heart.
