One of the quickest ways to put a smile on my face is with animals, especially happy, goofy ones, or those just being themselves, enjoying life.
This short film by Keith Hopkins, Savour Every Moment, encapsulates that perfectly.
And then there’s my own boy, Luke (aka Fluffernutter, Senor Pantalones, Binky Bear, Galloping Goofball, Gooficus Maximus, etc.). Calm and dignified one moment, and the next decidedly not.
Luke has no monopoly on goofy though, as these animals show.

The cat’s right. You can show yourselves out, can’t ya?

Can you hear me laughing? These photos totally cracked me up. Life with without these wonderful creatures would be so dreary. I smile every time I land here and am greeted by your goofy kitty.
I wish the ASPCA would use videos like this instead of the sappy stuff they run. I am a huge advocate of pet rescue but I think their ads are awful.

I KNEW I heard laughing!
Agreed. Their ads (and the Humane Society’s too) are just too much “hit you over the head,” and I think that approach more often tends to make people dig in. There’s a lot to be said for subtlety and humor when it comes to animals. And animals have a lot to teach us about being happy!

You had me at “duck butts.”

I firmly believe that if you can’t laugh at the ridiculousness of a duck butt, there’s just no helping you. 😀
