I decided this week not to write my column. I’ve been very tired lately, so yeah, I’m taking the week off from being deep and insightful.
Maybe I’m just annoyed at all the constant misdirection coming out of D.C. (yep, no plans to watch the State of the Union).
This is why we all need a sense of humor.
It’s the little things that put this one over the top. For me, it’s the writing on the door. For my buddy John, it’s the disguises on the shelf.

Serenity is a fuzzy belly 
First thing this morning, I read a report that Trump had opened the doorway to citizenship for 1.8 immigrants. I guess that’s 2 immigrants, but one has his head cut off. In normal administrations, I’d assume it was a typo, but these days, I’m 50/50 on whether it’s what Trump has in his so-called mind.
Be well and don’t worry about . . . HEY, did you see that red hat? That was some kind of RED.

I’m with the otter. I didn’t watch the SOTU. Why subject myself to someone who makes me angry and nauseous with his every word and gesture? Worse, I heard that Stephen Miller was the chief speechwriter. Wasn’t interested in anything that little Nazi had to say. Thinking it was all over, I turned on the TV in time to see some of Joe Kennedy’s remarks (impressive) and be distracted by what appeared to be drooling (supposedly Chapstick).

I don’t even watch live TV much anymore. I just watched movies on Netflix. Even the crappiest movie would be better than the sotu.
The otter is probably the wisest of us all. 🤓

In 1990, when the local science fiction convention was held at the Otter Creek Holiday Inn, on the cover of the program book for the convention there was a picture of an otter who was reading some magazine called “The Otter Limits”. This picture was drawn by Randy Farran from Tulsa who was the Artist Guest Of Honor that year.
