No regular post today, as I’m trying to get rid of the rest of the stuff in my lungs. Plus, I in my utter clumsiness tried to cut off my finger Friday (if only the brioche had already been sliced), so I’m just gonna take a little break. Enjoy this little video while I head to the store for some finger cots. (Woo hoo!)
Get well. And step away from the knife.

Ha! It was my fault for trying to carry the brioche, the knife and the cutting board at the same time. And now I’m about to cook the French toast that is to blame for my injury.
Enjoy Crystal Bridges. One day I’ll get up there.

Thank you for the funny video. Marlow the Golden Retriever is fearless and he will attack almost anything. When I mow the grass, I have to lock him up in his kennel because he will attack the lawn mower.

Pepper used to hide from the vacuum, and so did Luke. I miss both of them.
Luke did, though, attack blinds and Christmas trees. He loved when I set up a forest because then he could play Godzilla. 🦖

Marlow dislikes and detests the vacuum cleaner just as much as the lawn mower.

Marlow is a very smart boy. Vacuums are evil. 👿

How is your finger? And your lungs? Do you feel better yet?

Both healing, but not quick enough for me. I always have trouble with that last bit in my lungs, especially if my sinusitis acts up, which it did Friday.
It took a while for the bleeding to stop, but it did, and the cut was one that would probably be glued instead of stitched, so I opted not to go to the emergency room for a likely long wait. I’m keeping an eye on it, putting neosporin on it, and bandaging it, but letting it breathe for a while when I change the bandage. I use the finger cots whenever I need to be around water, and have ordered some silicon/gel finger covers for the long haul. I’m also taking Tuesday and Wednesday off to rest, and I’ll call my doctor if I need to.
Kind of sad, really, that I’m so used to things like this. 😉
