In just a couple of weeks it will be Christmas. I’ll be spending my Christmas with a certain fuzzy fur-nephew. To get us in the mood, here are a few furry friends gettin’ their holiday on.

I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.

Haven’t heard anyone say they weren’t allowed to say Merry Christmas, but then I haven’t been listening all that much. In any event, Happy Holidays–including Christmas in case you felt left out.

🤣 I haven’t heard it either, but then, I’m a hermit. Since I’m going to see “White Christmas” with Sarah this evening, though, maybe I will. There’s no telling what I might say in return if I’m feeling devilish. 😈

“I don’t take orders from you.”
“Same to you, fellah.”

The two dogs who ate the Elf On The Shelf probably did that because they thought that by eating the Elf they were being good dogs and helping their human friend or friends by protecting them from an evil Elf, right?

The picture of the baby lamb “Fleece Navidad” was baaaaad, he said sheepishly. But It Had To Be Ewe (he said musically) who would post a picture like that.

Did you know that “White Christmas” is Irving Berlin’s most popular song out of all of the many, many songs he wrote during his long life? It has been recorded and/or covered at least two hundred times.

Now let us all sing to the tune of “Mama Don’t ‘Low”:
“Mama don’t ‘low no claustrophobia ’round here.
Mama don’t ‘low no claustrophobia ’round here.
I don’t care what Mama don’t ‘low
‘Cause I don’t believe in Santa Claus anyhow.
Mama don’t ‘low no claustrophobia ’round here.”

Many chuckles here. Reminded me of the years the cat climbed the tree (and knocked it over one year). Or went under the tree and batted off every ornament he could reach (they were glass back then).

One year I set up every mini tree I had instead of just the one tree that Luke would bat at. That year he played Godzilla in the Christmas tree forest. 😂 Came home from work one day and he was plopped in the middle of the destruction.

Probably very proud of himself, too.

Did Luke seem to enjoy imitating Godzilla?

Even when there weren’t miniature forests around, he would often continue his battle against various incarnations of Mothra. 🤣🦖
