The rain is sticking around (yippee), but luckily I feel fine. That is, except for the new scratches from Ollie Pop, who really likes using my legs as scratching posts (mostly my right leg; Luke preferred my left arm). When I saw this Simon’s Cat Valentine special, I thought of Ollie and trying to eat in peace. Which you can’t always do around Ollie. Enjoy.
Well, Happy Valentine’s Day anyway.

If I was eating meat or something with meat in it, Marlow would sit there and beg for some of my meal. He would give me this pitiful, pathetic, starving look as if he was wasting away to a little furry shadow. If he was five years old and he could talk (like those dogs in the movie “UP”), he would try to tell me that he hadn’t had anything to eat for six years (or maybe seven years). Giving him a raw beef flavor dog treat would work for maybe five seconds but then he would start begging again.

Since he was a dog, I didn’t have to worry about him scratching my legs or my arms.

Marlow had to be more well-behaved than my parents’ dogs. Mama was forever sporting a new gouge in her arm, usually from Blackie.

Yes Marlow was well behaved most of the time.

I did my best to reassure Marlow that his life was not as Ruff as Bark. Yes he was spoiled but not spoiled rotten.
