Sunday swing

There are some songs that my fellow Gen-Xers and I can tell from the first few notes. We may not know all the words, but we know the song and will sing. Every. Single. Time. And probably dance weirdly as well.

For me, this is one of those songs that will always provoke that reaction from me. Enjoy “Come on Eileen” (the remake and the original). As the song says, “You’ll hum this tune forever.”

It’s interesting to see how the band has changed through the years.
Some are annoyed by this song, but not me.

    • There are some songs which us so-called “Baby Boomers” are able to recognize from the first few notes or chords also and most especially if you are a musician. “Come On Eileen” is one of them. I first remember hearing this song in 1982 just after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. I am not annoyed by it and YES I still enjoy listening to it. However, I promise not to try to sing along to it or do any dancing at all to this song. I intend to just sit here quietly and listen to it.
