I agonized about this post, mainly because I don’t think there’s anything I could possibly add to what has already been said far better than I could about John Lewis. Still, I’ll repeat what others have said: It’s time to rename the Edmund Pettus Bridge (named after a confederate general and Alabama KKK grand wizard), and how better to do that than to name it after a civil-rights icon?

It’s past time to do the right thing and get in some good trouble.
