Tomorrow’s Memorial Day, and on this day I always think of my grandpa and uncle, both of whom served in the Navy. Luckily for all of us, they didn’t die in action, but I know many people who have lost loved ones in the military. They and all veterans and their families deserve every bit of honor we can give them.
And for those who are still serving, know that some of us can’t wait for you to come home.

In Flanders Field, the poppies grow . . .

Speaking of Flanders Fields, have any of you ever heard the song “No Man’s Land” by Eric Bogle? He was inspired to write this song after Bogle and his wife toured the cemeteries where a lot of the soldiers who died in World War One are buried. If you want to read the words, they are on Bogle’s web site.
Thank you Brenda Looper said the man who has worked for many years at the local Veterans Hospital helping to take care of his fellow veterans.

I hadn’t heard it, but I’ll definitely check it out.
I wish more were as committed as you to veterans and their families!
