Luke can be a little cranky … especially if I try to put a hat on that cute little head for a holiday picture.
Saturday was National Cat Day (and my Grandpa’s birthday … he would have been 100), and Monday is Halloween … which means today must involve Halloween cats. Just go with it … you should humor the crazy cat lady.

I’m suddenly wondering if this was taken on a boat … or perhaps a banking airplane … Luke would definitely be the one in red.

Yeah, I’d prefer the 10th Doctor, but can you imagine trying to get a long brown coat and sneakers on a cat???

Be sure to get three times as much candy as you think you’ll need. You’ll figure out what to do with it after trick or treat. Speaking of that, do kids today have any idea what the ‘trick’ part of that means? I recall writing on people’s windows with a bar of soap, which they could easily wash off the next day. Bad kids used a candle. Lots of luck getting the wax off the window. Or the screen door. Ah, good times.

My brothers used to TP houses … which is way better than what kids in Jonesboro (where I went to college) did … just LOVED that Nov. 1 that I woke to an egged car.

If I could afford it and work out the logistics, I was going to put a candy vending machine on my front porch instead of giving out free candy. Then my boss asked me to work tomorrow evening until 8:00 P.M. which means I won’t be at home anyway. A friend jokingly suggested that maybe I should give out brussel sprouts dipped in chocolate but that might not be a such a good idea. My house might get egged and toilet papered if I give out brussel sprouts dipped in chocolate. It is difficult for me to understand why someone wouldn’t like brussel sprouts dipped in chocolate because I like to eat both of them. However, I have never tried cooking brussel sprouts and dipping them in chocolate.
