Yes, I’m a bit of a Marvel movie geek, and I know the “final” Avengers movie is out, but I haven’t seen it. I’m just not a fan of seeing movies in the theater, so I usually wait for it to come out on DVD or a streaming platform. At least at home I don’t have to deal with other people talking through the important scenes. Plus, I have better snacks that cost a lot less.
Still, I can celebrate superheroes, as today is National Superhero Day. Not all heroes wear capes, though … some wear fur. But yeah, the cape thing can be a bit dangerous, soooo …
Sorry, guys … DC’s OK, but I prefer Marvel. Plus, there’s the cape thing. Image found on Pinterest.
I used to have that superpower, but I apparently filed it away and forgot where. Image found on Flickr.
And balls … and sticks … and bacon … and … Image found on cheezburger.
Well, maybe not so innocent. It is pretty ugly. Image found on eBaum’s World.
Or BatCat. Because, you know, cats. Image found on Pinterest.
I’d wear a costume but it might crush my beautiful whiskers. Image found on cheezburger.
Whoa … Captain America’s gotten kinda dark. Image found on Kebbo.
You know, if Stark had just ponied up, I wouldn’t have to make my own. Image found on cheezburger.
But you don’t look angry, so why are you Hulked out? Image found on Animal Photo.
And lap up water at the speed of sound. Not that much will make it in when you lap it that fast. Then the cape comes in pretty darn handy. Image found on cheezburger.
Yes capes can be dangerous and so can cloaks according to Evil Overlord Rule Number 213: “I will not wear long, heavy cloaks. While they certainly make a bold fashion statement, they have an annoying tendency to get caught in doors or tripped over during an escape.”
I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.
I am counting on the 20 (and counting) superheroes to vanquish the evil Agent Orange, Don of the Trump Crime Family. Is that too much to ask for?

Coats with long strings or belts do the same thing. My raincoat is forever getting caught on something.
