Though the covered bridge in the same area of Burns Park is very picturesque, in fall, the footbridge to its side is even more so. Not so sure it would be all that picturesque this year.
I know, I know, it’s technically not for a couple more weeks, but I want it now. Labor Day is past, and I’m ready for those fall temperatures, and it’s still too hot. I’m ready for temperatures that stay fairly steady, with not a lot of variation in the barometric pressure, because these summer colds are ticking me off. I’m not hopeful as far as fall color goes, but we shall see.
Luke used to love watching leaves fall, and killing the odd leaf that found its way inside, but he was freaked out by the sound of a bunch of leaves crinkling … so no dives into leaf piles for him. Good thing he was an inside cat for most of his life.
There have been some leaves falling, but nothing to get too excited about. Of course, I’m not these guys.

Yeah, I can’t wait for the leaves to fall on the roof and clog the rain drains. On the other hand, some cooler weather would be nice. We were in Northern Michigan last week, with temps in the 60s. Nice.

Temps in the 60s and lower 70s are dang near perfect. I don’t have gutters, so I’m fine with leaves on the roof. 😝
