I feel I should explain.

Last week was awful. When insurrectionists try to take over the seat of government in the United States of America (!!!!) because their guy lost the election, and in the process five people die, it’s enough to send you into a depression spiral, especially when you realize how uninformed some of our fellow citizens are, not only about the Constitution and our system of government, but that actions have consequences.

However, even on the darkest of days, there’s usually a gleam of light that will sneak up when you least expect it. For me, it came from a misreading.

Apparently my mind telling me that what I read said something else struck a chord with a lot of people. My favorite comment, though, might have been the one from Bjorn Schulz, who included this GIF (which makes me laugh every time I see it), with “MORTAL WOMBAT!”

So, yeah, we know I’m sort of easily amused by word play. Still, you have to admit that Trial by Wombat would probably be pretty cool. If anyone’s looking for a birthday present for me, there’s an idea. Enjoy some wombats, my friends.
