If you’ve visited this blog much at all, you’ll know I’m a fan of musical parody. Sometimes it’s people/singers who’ve found a talent for parody on YouTube (Chris Mann, The Holderness Family, etc.), and sometimes it’s actual comedians, like Tim Hawkins. He’s a Christian comedian, but he’s really my kind of Christian (so kinda irreverant, and a little weird sometimes). As we know, I love people who don’t take themselves so seriously. Enjoy.
Funny, albeit an explosive mix. When faith collides with reality . . .

I had a colonoscopy a few years ago and the most difficult part for me was the preparations the day before. After the anesthetic wore off and I woke up in the Recovery Room, the nurse asked me if I wanted coffee. I really surprised her by asking for a beer instead.

Have you ever heard the original version of “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White T’s or the cover version of this song by Postmodern Jukebox? On YouTube, someone named Jessica Ricca borrowed the melody to this song and recorded not one but two versions of this song from a female point of view as a response to the original song.

Also there is a video on YouTube of Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers performing hymns for atheists and agnostics.

Never heard of him, but he’s funny. Especially the Delilah bit.
