Sunday constitutional

While I will be heading out this afternoon (if all goes to plan) for a constitutional, that’s not what this post is about. Today is Constitution Day, which commemorates the day in 1787 on which the founding fathers signed the Constitution in Philadelphia. Let’s celebrate, shall we?

I asked Fotor’s AI to give me cats as founding fathers. Apparently one of the founding fathers was a nudist with no arms.
Now this cat looks like it could be a founding father. Look at that neck ruff! Image found on cheezburger.
Lest we forget, there were some pretty important women around the time of the Constitution’s signing, even though they couldn’t sign (or vote, or much of anything). Image found on LA Beat.

Socks, my favorite White House cat, wasn’t around during the founding, but like I need an excuse to use a picture of our little Arkie, rest in peace. AP photo by Marcy Nighswander.
OK, the second Fotor AI try was better, and these cats are fine upstanding (not nekkid) citizens.
Yes, we can! Image found on QuickMeme.
Well, thank Patrick Henry, because he’s part of the reason the Bill of Rights was added. Image found on Meme Creator.
Don’t tell him it doesn’t give him the right to unlimited treats. Image found on Bored Panda.
You should. And make sure you sing the Preamble. Image found on The IP Kat.

  1. I wonder what Patrick Henry would think of the attempts of Donald Trump and the Republicans to try to re-establish tyrannical rule? I am sure Patrick Henry would have some very unprintable and profane comments about this. Maybe Patrick Henry has probably become so dizzy from spinning in his grave that he has stopped spinning a long time ago.
