It should come as no surprise that I’m often deeply silly, which has a lot to do with the sort of comedy performances I find funny. Give me Monty Python and Corky and the Juice Pigs, and I’m happy. They’re silly, satirical, and both deep and shallow at the same time. Enjoy a few of my favorites from these two troupes.

I’ve been a Monty Python fan longer than I can remember. But I’d never heard of Corky and the Juice Pigs. They’re great! It’s been my loss, I guess. I’ve never been one to seek out humor. Just an old stick-in-the-mud.

Same with me on Python. When they re-released The Holy Grail, a group of fellow Python-heads and I went to see it in the theater. LOVE that movie.
Corky and the Juice Pigs used to show up on MadTV in its first few seasons, and that’s where I first came across them. I think they stopped touring around 1998.
