Well, I saw a few snowflakes mixed in with the rain when I grabbed the paper and mail yesterday, but unless it’s snowed overnight, that’s about all I’ll see from this system, I think. (With any luck, I’ll still be asleep when this is posted, so I don’t know yet.) Mom, on the other hand, got a couple of inches instead of the dusting she was supposed to get.
Either way, we’re both cold and cranky, and need entertainment. Take it away, kids!

When I was growing up, we got a lot more snow than we do now, and we would have snow ice cream when we got a big snowfall. My brothers and I would sled behind the church, which is how I got a scar on my jaw. I loved it then, but once I was old enough to have to drive on that stuff, not so much. And now that I’m further south than where I grew up, we get more ice than snow, and that … just sucks. 😠🌬
I’ve had lots of dog/snow experiences, but the cats are amusing. My kittehs have always been indoor types. My current feline would probably be horrified if he found himself in snow.
I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.
Growing up in Stowe, Vermont, I reveled in the snow culture. Winter recess was just enough time for one trip down the slope behind the school.
Later, as a movie usher during high school, I got to watch White Christmas 17 times, which started to dampen the thrill of the white stuff.
Today, I can take it or leave it, preferably the latter.

Did you know that the song White Christmas has been recorded more often than any other song by Irving Berlin?

Neither myself nor my dog likes snow.

We had one dog who absolutely loved snow. Even when she was old and arthritic, she would jump around like a puppy when it snowed.

Luke liked to watch it from the warm safety of the window. The few times he was out in it, he didn’t like the icy cold paws he’d get. 🥶
