Sunday sitting

I interrupted bird “watching.” For shame!

For the past week, I’ve been sitting for my friend Sarah’s goofy cat Charlie (aka Chucklebutt, Sir Charles, Mr. Princess, Charlie Bucket, etc.), which has been interesting. I’ve managed to lock myself out, as well as lock Charlie out, and he alternates between absolutely loving me and being irritated at me pestering him or insisting that he come back in the house after his outside time. I’m a lot like the puppy in this from Simon’s Cat. Maybe he’ll miss me when his mom is back.

Sarah, thank God, doesn’t have a backyard pond or a gnome.

  1. If Charlie is a typical cat, he is probably unhappy that Brenda is not bowing down low in front of him with both of her arms sticking out straight while she repeats that she is not worthy.

  2. Simon’s Cat reminds me of Charlie, and the puppy reminds me of Spike! I can’t imagine you’re pestering Charlie that much!! I’m thankful you’re able to stay with Charlie, especially since Josie crossed the Rainbow Bridge right before I left. He may hide behind his RCF, but he loves having company. I love the photo you took of Charlie.
