I’ve had other things on my mind lately, so I’ve missed some new releases on my YouTube subscriptions. This one, from husband and wife folk duo The Hound + The Fox, is hauntingly beautiful, but in a less dark way than Disturbed’s (also beautiful) version of the Simon and Garfunkel standard.
And just for a little more soothing, a couple more videos from the Oregon couple McKenzie and Reilly Zamber. Enjoy!
Very soothing after last night’s nearly apocalyptic storm.

Last night was very disquieting.

A beautiful reminder that despite widespread violence, bigotry and hate, talent and art survive!

Nice to see music like this is still around … although yes, I found the last one a bit creepy.

That last one is the full song from Hocus Pocus that Sarah sang to lure children so she and her sisters could steal their life essence and regain their youth. I found the makeup creeped me out more than the song itself. 😂

As for Come Little Children, I think she had a little too much makeup on. Also, I have watched Hocus Pocus and I did not like that movie.

I did not like The Fox+The Hound’s version of The Sound of Silence. As for this song, I still prefer either the original version or Disturbed’s version. However, I did like their version of Wild Mountain Thyme. I am just as familiar with Wild Mountain Thyme as I am with The Sound of Silence and I have played both songs many times on the piano.

As for makeup, I thought the purpose of wearing it was to enhance whatever natural beauty you are already blessed with?
