Sunday finally fall (kinda)

The weather seems to have turned a little. When I got up Saturday to pick up plants I ordered from Audubon’s fall native plant sale, it was nice and cool. In the afternoon, I spent some time in Sarah’s backyard with the fur-nephews. It was a pleasant change from the past several months of temperatures in the 90s and 100s (I don’t do hot weather well.

It’s still not quite sweaters and cocoa time yet, but it’s coming. I’m ready for it.

Fall, quite literally.

1. Rake leaves. 2. Add crazy cat. 3. Laugh your ass off. GIF found on Cat GIF Website.
Hold all my calls, please, thank you! Image found on Sad and Useless.
Charlie likes fall, I think, like me (minus the headaches from the weather shifts). He gets to spend more time outside looking regal.

  1. Instead of raking leaves, I prefer to mulch them with my lawn mower. In one of his Pogo cartoons, the late Walt Kelly jokingly referred to one of these grass cutting machines as a “long molar”.

  2. The leaves are working with the squirrels and conspiring with them to cause problems for the cat who is trying to hunt the squirrels? Maybe the squirrels deliberately knocked the leaves to the ground so the cat couldn’t sneak up on the squirrels? Do you think it would be easier for the cat to sneak up on the squirrels if the cat was wearing sneakers on its paws?
