Sunday merry

Today we celebrate Christmaas. I’m spending the day with fur-nephew Charlie and probably having peppermint cocoa after my dinner of dressing, turkey tenderloins, carrots, potatoes and rolls and opening a couple of presents.

However you’re celebrating the day, enjoy it. Merry Christmas!

This sweet little boy is a great companion for Christmas, even when he’s yakking on the couch.

  1. Happy whatever-your-preference-is and a Happy New Year. 2022 has set the bar pretty low for 2023 to be a good year. Looking forward to it. Anybody seen my long johns? Warm trumps silly-looking.

  2. With all that’s going on in the world I’m not sure I feel “merry” this yuletide but I’ll settle for satisfied, pampered and grateful. I’m feeling warmer than Ukrainians, better fed than most Africans, safer than Taiwanese, freer than Russians and more prosperous than the Brits. All the best to you and your fur-kin, Brenda!

  3. On a more serious note (yes I am being punny), I prefer to quote a line from the song “So This Is Christmas” by the late John Lennon: “Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope it’s a good one without any fear.” For people who are unfamiliar with this song and have never heard it, I usually send them a link to this song on YouTube.
