I admit, I can be a bit of a Christmas song nut. In college I became part of two choral groups at one point almost solely for the chance to do more Christmas music (one group was more traditional, and the other was “pops”). Getting the chance to sing “Carol of the Bells” and “Santa Baby” in one season … priceless. OK, except for the cost of gas, honey, lemon and snacks.

Some Christmas music I can’t get into (I’m lookin’ at you, “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”), but some will always make me smile. And the people like Straight No Chaser who can put some fun into old standards really make me smile. Enjoy!

They can be a bit more serious, though (check this one out, for instance). I just heard this original song for the first time last night. I have to say I like it, and hope you do too.
