Sunday slippery

As I said in my last post, I’m not exactly a fan of Daylight Saving Time. The end of it is more palatable (that extra hour helps), but the whole concept is a pain in the ass for chronic insomniacs. Though it will be fun today watching the people who showed up everywhere early. What can I say? I’m easily amused. Which is why people and animals falling gives me a giggle.

I’ve done this more than once … just not in an inflatable chair.

Tall folks, this is the eternal plight of the short person. So knock off all the short jokes!

Don’t piss off a penguin. Ever.

I’ve never been particularly trusting of trust falls. This is why.

I don’t know if this counts as falling back, but it’s adorable.

This would be me if I were ever dumb enough to get on a hoverboard.

OK, was that technically a fall or a roll?

I’m a little too happy seeing a robot fall. Take that, technology!

  1. Per one of my earlier posts, I can absolutely relate to the penguin fiasco. However, I didn’t fall down (and I didn’t drop kick the little sucker across the enclosure at Sea World). Enjoy the extra hour. I forgot all about it since my computer and watch adjust automatically. However, we’ll get to adjust all our pre-smart clocks.

I agree with you that the time has come to dump daylight savings. And the Electoral College. And while I’m at it . . .

    • I think if we don’t dump the electoral college completely, it at least needs to have each state, rather than just two, award votes proportionally. Then it might come closer to actual votes and be more reflective of what voters really want.

Like Daylight Saving, the electoral college has outlived its usefulness and should adapt or die.
