Not that it matters, because there will be six more weeks of winter anyway (that’s how calendars and seasons work), but today Punxsutawney Phil … or at least the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club … will make his prognostication.
So instead of science and meteorologists, we’re going to pay attention to a chubby marmot. Yep, sounds about right.

Yeah, thanks for the treat … where’s the coffee? You got me up this early, you owe me coffee! GIF found on cheezburger.
Since the Super Bowl is on Groundhog Day, does that mean the losing team will have to play this game over and over and over again ad nauseum ad infinitum?
One of the chaplains at the hospital where I work was born and raised in Missouri and he is a Kansas City Chiefs fan. When the roof of my house was leaking, he was one of the people who came over and helped me fix the roof. I hope the Chiefs win for his sake.
I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.
This a good reminder that I haven’t watched Groundhog Day for awhile. Great movie.

I think a lot of people are thinking the same thing. Kansas City people are just like us. Kind to a fault, and a little weird sometimes . 😏
