OK, I’ve still been spending entirely too much time watching Doctor Who, especially the 10th Doctor episodes. I’ve always loved a Scottish accent, and though David Tennant rarely used his real accent on Doctor Who, I could hear it in a lot of the other things he did (especially in the things he’s done with Catherine Tate, such as Nan’s Christmas Carol here or Red Nose Day here).
So, yeah, I’ve been yearning for Scottish humor.
Oh, those are funny. Thanks for sharing.

I think we all need a little Scottish humor right now. Of course, I think I’d prefer any accent other than certain American ones right now.

At least you are watching something better than a lot of the crap on television.

I don’t watch live television anymore. I’ll watch the occasional news story after the fact, but I get most of my news from newspapers (you’d almost think I work for one).
Watching Doctor Who and other scripted entertainment is much more soothing. Escapist, maybe, but can you blame me?

No Brenda I don’t blame you and I will encourage you to continue watching what you like to watch just so long as you don’t turn into one of these people who goes too far and uses science fiction as a crutch to escape from reality.

Science fiction is more real than reality right now. 😬
