Jim Wheeler - Rational Skeptic
I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.

I’m not sure if this qualifies as “Indian Summer” but I think we’ll see a lot more of it as we continue to heat up the planet.

Pretty sure we will, regardless of the climate skeptics. Summer has been lasting into October lately. Yeesh.

We had two blissfully cool, wet days and then yesterday dawned with brilliant sun and gusty winds. Certainly seemed like the arrival of fall … even though the temp climbed a bit too high. We’ve been told our 90s are over for the year and that’s enough for me.

It’s too warm for me right now, and the sun is blazing down. Sarah is out now at a voter registration event and slathered herself with sunscreen before leaving. Oof. We had a few days where it was at least cool-ish, but this past week we were back at 100 and 101. I’m ready for actual fall weather to start.

Chin up, it’s coming! Give Sarah a hug for me; we need every registration we can get.

Now I see 91 high Monday 😫😢.
Was praying lower by my birthday – Tuesday – & “they” are saying hi 84 Tues – a couple days in 70s coming up.
Sometimes I think the desert is slowly inching its way here… Tired of turning on sprinklers. And need electric & water bills to decrease. Water bill has come down last 2 months because of some rain last & ways i catch water to use.

Speaking of the weather changing and becoming cooler, did any of you read the comic strip “MUTTS” in today’s newspaper? It is one of my favorite comic strips.
