PostModern Jukebox is back again, and this time it didn’t pick just one style, since 1960s soul covers a wide range. I’m not completely sold on this one because of that, but it’s still good, and almost made me forget the original song doesn’t quite sound like that.
I see some Tina Turner in there. I much prefer the original, but then, I usually do. If I loved the original, I won’t care for subsequent covers.

I think the three men who wrote and recorded this song should feel flattered that someone else–in this case PostModern Jukebox–liked the song so much that they learned it and performed it. I was taught that is a positive sign in the music business if other musicians like your song so much that they go to the time, effort, energy, and trouble to learn your song so they can perform it themselves. It is supposed to be a compliment when other people like your song or songs that much.
