The fall time change is more do-able since you actually get an extra hour, but the spring change … bah! I have enough sleep issues without losing a whole hour for no good reason. Daylight saving time is no longer needed, especially since Congress lengthened it (why????) and it’s now most of the year, while “standard” time is only a few months. Pick one and stop making us change the clocks! These critters agree. You don’t want to disappoint them, do you?
Most of my clocks reset themselves, but that’s not the point. I started freaking out on my way to my doctor’s appointment last week because the clock in the car said it was an hour later than it was. At least it will be correct this week, but still … Image found on Pinterest.
The fall change causes problems too, but nothing like the spring one (and hey, now we’re still in winter when the time changes!). Image found on Scott Yates.
Wait … does that mean I get THIRD breakfast???? Image found on South Bay Animal Hospital and Pet Resort.
And when you were already tired … oof. GIF found on Tenor.

You don’t want me around when I’m grouchy. I’m still kinda funny, but I’m mean. Image found on Pinterest.
An hour less of work? Sign me up! Image found on Pinterest.

Correct. Which isn’t right. Image found on imgflip.

Hawaii doesn’t observe Daylight Savings, and that makes life that much easier. I never had to remember to change time-pieces–before automatic adjustments (like now) were available. Life is complicated enough without keeping outdated practices. Even though my iPhone changed automatically this morning, I still lost an hour. I know we’ll get it back in the Fall, but I think we should get it with interest.
It’s just nuts to have to change the clocks at all. Pick one and stay with it; I don’t care which. The reasons we did it in the first place are no longer issues, really.
So, why doesn’t one or more of us collect signatures to get this on the ballot 😉. Seems very few like it.
I had the weirdest one ever Saturday night – stomach something- barfed all night – was actually glad when morning came sooner. Then slept most of Sunday 😟.
My understanding is that at least 40 states are considering ditching the time change. I would think that would prompt Congress to act … if these were normal times and Congress were functional.
Nobody really loses an hour or gains an hour. Time is merely labeled (or mislabeled) differently for a while. Anyone still can sleep as much or as little as desired, until the powers that be come to their senses.
I work in a hospital and I am glad that I am working day shift instead of night shift this year. Speaking from experience, switching from Daylight Savings Time to “Standard” time is a worse problem when you work nights.
I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.
I love daylight savings time! Wish it would be year round!

My car is the one that I have to manually change. 🙄

Me too. But at least if it has to be stuck on one of the two, at least it’s the one that’s most of the year.

Except that if you work on Sunday and you show up an hour late, your boss won’t be happy.

Unless there’s a good reason for making people cranky twice a year …
